Vapor Scrubber Chemicals

We manufacture a wide range of chemistry to treat many types of hazardous and odorous vapors. From hydrocarbons, amines, acrylates, hydrocarbons and many more. Below are a few of our more popular scrubbing medias designed for use in wet scrubber systems.

BIO-SCRUB X

Removes hydrocarbons from airstreams in scrubber units with high efficiency. Bio-Scrub X is used full-strength in a scrubber system and will adsorb many different organic compounds. Some of these include benzene, toluene, xylene, aromatics, gasoline, and many more. Depending on circumstances, this product can absorb up to 98.5% of organics in an airstream before initial saturation. Contains no detergents or deodorants. Diesel Warning: Diesel fuel is not recommended as a substitute for Bio-Scrub X in scrubber systems. Diesel fuel has a high foaming potential and can result in large amounts of liquid carry-over into the outlet of the scrubber and/or carbon bed polishers. Foam in a scrubber will result in much lower removal efficiencies as well. Lastly, diesel fuel is a VOC product whereas Bio-Scrub X is not (prior to accepting VOC vapors).

BSX50-EVT6

BSX50-EVT6 is designed to neutralize H2S and absorb hydrocarbons simultaneously. This product contains high VOC absorbing Bio-Scrub X (for hydrocarbons) and Enviro-Scrub VT 6% (for H2S) in one chemical media. Simply add this media to your scrubber and you are able to remove VOC's and H2S simultaneously. Not for use in packed-column vapor scrubber systems! Excellent for use in bubble-up or forced-induction scrubbers like our E550 units.

ENVIRO-SCRUB VT

ENVIRO-SCRUB VT is a powerful H2S Scavenger. It quickly and safely neutralizes H2S and can be removed from hydrocarbon liquids, scrubber solutions, natural gas, wastewater streams, and many more. Unlike caustic based products, ENVIRO-SCRUB VT will not allow a reverse reaction (which would liberate H2S in an acidic environment) once the reaction has taken place. Furthermore, this product is minimally effected by CO2. Lastly, reaction products are water soluble and are very biodegradable. Note: Reaction with mercaptans is typically slower and requires longer retention time.

ENVIRO-SCRUB VT (6% Solution)

Enviro-Scrub VT (6% Solution) is a pre-diluted mixture that is designed to quickly neutralize H2S. This 'ready-to-use' solution takes the guesswork out of dilution for a particular job. Since it is already the recommended 6% dilution, not mixing is necessary. Simply add to the reservoir of your scrubber (or tank containing H2S. Each gallon of the 6% diluted solution is able to effectively neutralize .18# of pure H2S. Therefore, a 275 gallon tote of this media is able to neutralize 49.5# of H2S.

CARBONIL XT

Highly concentrated hydrocarbon degassing/deodorization chemical agent. Reduces hydrocarbon VOC emissions and odors immediately! Greatly lowers or eliminates flammability (LEL) of many flammable hydrocarbons and solvents. Highly dilutable formula! Contains very pleasant fragrance. Non-hazardous formula. Approved for use in many major petrochemical plants.

CARBONIL ES

CARBONIL ES was designed for applications which have both hydrocarbon levels and H2S. Instead of using two different chemical agents, simply dilute CARBONIL ES with water and apply to tank contents. LEL will drop immediately as well as H2S levels. CARBONIL ES is also recommended for wet scrubber systems.

CARBONIL ST

Concentrated hydrocarbon degassing agent/encapsulator. Contains no fragrance. Greatly reduces VOC emissions and flammability (LEL). Highly dilutable formula. Non-hazardous formula. Approved in many petrochemical plants.

EZ-STRIP SS

EZ-STRIP SS is a non-amine based liquid neutralizer for H2S, SO2, and mercaptans (as well as other compounds). This product converts H2S and mercaptans into non-odorous salts. Concentrated formula made up of sodium hydroxide, accelerators and surface tension breaking compounds react quickly. Unlike amine-based product (Enviro-Scrub VT), EZ-STRIP SS is consumed by CO2. If your stream is rich in CO2, consumption of this product will increase.

VAMSOL 40

VAMSOL 40 is a neutralizer for Vinyl Acetate (VAM). High removal capability for VAM (up to 99%). Excellent for use in vapor scrubber systems or for tank and line cleaning.

SULFUR SCRUB 43

Sulfur-Scrub 43 is a liquid neutralizer designed to eliminate odors associated with amines or ammonia. This corrosive mixture aggressively neutralizes amines and ammonia and converts them into sulfates. Warning: Not safe for metals (including soft metals, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.)
